Over nine years and Betty is with you now. I still cry for you(I'm crying right now in fact)and I wonder if there will be a time that I don't cry for you. I hope not. I hope I cry a waterfall for you for the rest of my life, smiles too, but the tears over all you've missed out on with your grandson will always be present. He is an amazing boy. You would be so impressed and proud. He's so smart, and loves so much. I'm doing my best to be what you raised me, a good man who takes care of people, even if they may not deserve it. I'm trying to taise Danny this way as well. I'm told I've been doing a good job, but I'm just ripping you off lol. I really wish I could hear your voice. I miss you so much. I'll make sure everyone knows who you were and the kindness that can be real. I love Doctor Who now, The Doctor reminds me of you, goofy, smart, and kind to a fault, but don't push him because that will be a big mistake. I wish I could watch it with you. I love you, Dad. Always.

I miss you every day. It hasn't gotten any easier three years later. Sometimes being an atheist doesn't offer much comfort and I know this is only being done for my own emotions, but I sure wish you were here right now. I could use a little "Hey, yo" along with some of your comforting words. I always want to do right by you, but I feel as though I'm failing in that right now. I love you.

Cory and Betty, I am so sorry to hear about Danny. My thoughts and prayers are with the both of you. Hopefully you will find this poem comforting in some way. -Footprints in The Sand- One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life. This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me. The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

My heartfelt sympathy goes to Danny's family. I only met Danny in his days of struggling, in my role as a physical therapist at the hospital. I will never forget the day Danny stood up in ICU and turned to me with the biggest smile ever. Those are the smiles that make me love what I do. Danny was a battler and had a heart of gold. Even when he couldn't stand, he still gave me that smile. What can you say about a "Wonderful" Soul that hasn't already been said. But Danny Yeoward was a very genuine friend. So many memories and the Smile he reminded me no one could ever take from me. Was a gift he gave to all he touched. Smile for having him in our life and I know he is Smiling cause he is where he came from in the first place, Heaven.. He could only come have come from Heaven. I need to express my gratitude to Betty. She is truly a remarkable women. Danny was blessed to have her in his life. She has been loving and kind to my son Corey. She took care of Danny tirelessly. For these things I thank you. Danny was the kindest,most loyal husband, father, partner, and grandfather. His greatest dream in life was to be a Dad. A damn fine dad he was. We are blessed that our son got the best parts of Danny. He shows the same devotion to the ones he loves just as his father did. Danny and I were friends in the truest meaning of the word. I will never forget you Danny . Forever and two days..... We'll see each other again.

Dan Yeoward was an amazing man, who raised an equally amazing son. I couldn't be more proud to have named mine and Corey's son Danny Lee Yeoward II after such a beautiful man like Danny Sr. He had a heart of gold, and was full of so much love that he could have spread it around the world. I'm honored to have been part of the Yeoward Family these past 5 years. My heart goes out to Corey, Betty, Elizabeth, and the rest of the family he so loved and cherished. The loss of Danny Yeoward is a terrible thing. He will be missed dearly, his memory will always live on in our hearts and in the eyes of his namesake Danny Yeoward Jr. his grandson. Corey and Family, Words alone cannot express enough sympathy on the passing of your beloved partner, father, brother and friend. Our grieving minds make little sense when trying to process all the emotion that comes with the passing of a loved one. But this is when we hold on to each other to make it through. One's life can be measured by those they leave behind. We live on in the people we leave here. We're taught somewhere along the way that death is powerful - something to be feared and revered. But really it's just a change. Love holds the power. Love moves beyond the confines of three dimensions. It is timeless. It is formless. It is a whisper, and a hurricane. Love holds sweet memories that death cannot blur. Everything in the world answers to love. Nothing loved is ever truly lost, and temporary pain is a small price to pay for the permanence of memories. What we have gained from Danny is far more then we could possibly lose. When the sun sets in our eyes, it goes to rise upon some other shore. It isn't the sun that changes, but rather our relation to it. We see it going, but someone else sees it coming. And that is death. It is my hope that you and your family will find peace and comfort in knowing that suffering is over and that Danny's just rewards await him. So sorry to hear of Danny passing away. He was former manager to my son and daughter, Paul and Rachel Keller, at Super Shoes in Harrisburg. He was well liked and will be greatly missed by his former employees I'm sure. He was very good to my kids and I will always appreciate that.
